Don't let it be said that our MPs are inactive...

....when nearly half a page of this week's Hounslow & Isleworth Informer is dedicated to coverage of Alan Keen MP opening - wait for it - A CASHPOINT MACHINE IN BEDFONT!!!I kid you not readers, there it is in black and white - in full glorious colour in fact.  The launch has taken place.  "I hereby declare this cashpoint machine well and truly open.  May God bless all who sail in her."No wonder members of the Isleworth community can't get letters or items of news reported in the local rags any more, with so many earth-shattering events such as this to be recorded for posterity.What has this got to do with Brentford, I hear you ask?Well, apart from the fact that it has pride of place in our local newspaper, the photo shows Alan Keen withdrawing a sum of money with a big cheesy grin on his face.  And grin he might, when this is your money and mine helping to pay the mortgage on his plush Covent Garden pad.Just how insensitive can you get?

Perhaps we should mug Alan when he is using the cash machine. After all he's mugged us by claiming huge amounts of taxpayers money to fund a second home.

The problem there though Keith is that Mr and Mrs Keen still refuse to hold surgeries unless they are vetted first to avoid any awkward questions.This is a fact.

Perhaps he could run mortgage and financial advice services after one of his surgeries,just so he makes sure he's rubbed our noses in it good and proper.

The only problem Alan Keen will have is cash machines won't let you withdraw 18 grand in one go. Still it will only take him a couple of months to get at his expenses from this cah machine.

You just could not make that story up could you? Why did the reporter not ask Alan Keen for his promised explanation for his and also his wifes expenses when they had the chance?

SarahIs that me, Alan Keen or the all the poor so-and-sos who are contributing towards his mortgage? :o)PS  According to the article Le Keen wasn't actually involved in the campaign to have the ATM installed but "has taken a great interest in its progress" and "was very happy to go down and open the cashpoint" and have his photo taken for the local (and not so local) newspapers.  We are not worthy!
