Heathrow are taking the mickey: (1am) ten noisy take offs

Torrential rain may have delayed flights tonight, but is it fair and reasonable that noisy aircraft are still taking off towards London..at one in the morning?Some TEN aircraft have flown over during the last 12 minutes..and one wonders if the Authorities could care a hoot..that maybe 80,000 people below are sleeping...or resting.As another monster flies by..with a roar...I'll POST MESSAGE..and urge you not to let the BAA and others...craftily inflict this activity on us..all night.  By 5am the stream of arrivals will touch down..why?

Nic...Good to hear from you..and as you say we have all got to make protest..otherwise they..the Authorities.. will answer that there have been no complaints..so we can carry on expanding just how we like!  When my friend tells me that some of those early noisy flights are coming from Nigeria of all places..I do wonder whether they are out of control..especially as some of those people are just in transit ..or carrying drugs.Ann..Your picture looks like war-time activities that we recall well!

Jim,Just so you dont feel alone, the planes coming in to land most mornings from 4am onwards drive me to distraction. Once I am awake, I find it very hard to return to slumber. I will be making representations to the Night Flying Restrictions Stage 2 consultations (due in before 16 September) and I urge all those affected to do so also.

Its quiet tonight (3am) but within two hours or so the convoys will start again...Is the right din going to continue did you ask?  Some 100,000 a year must fly over Brentford...and I doubt if the numbers will be reducing!!

4.55am ! That's when they started coming in both yesterday and this morning.  Welcoming in the day with Jumbos creating a right din every 2 mins or so from that time is totally unpleasant!Is this going to continue or is it just during the summer that they take the p**s?

... nice and quiet at the moment Jim - but one of the builders nearby has a bonfire going to burn their combustibles, so I have had to close the windows and doors anyway ... it isn’t often that we can have the windows open because of the noise from planes … and it is becoming the with because of bonfire smoke too ...
