'I saw Liam Fox on Sunday..'sounds like you know him personally. Anyway, for those who think the referendum split us as a country..wake up and smell the coffee. It has been split for years, it's called the North/South divide. This basically meant that 75% of services,development and investment has gone into the south whilst the rest of the country fights for the crumbs.For instance, a bus journey in Manchester 175% more expensive than in London..£4. In London, it's £1.50 and kids under 16 go free. Get it now?

Keith I dont this but this is what I am told. British Steel has asked for support in re training staff but the government is not interested. I saw Liam Fox on Sunday and he did not seem too happy.

'But after Brexit we will have so much trade there will be well paid jobs for all'. That's great news and glad that you think so, Nicholas. I will tell those friends of mine  Lancashire who had decent and well paid jobs in factories and who have seen those factories moved to Poland and who are now either on benefits or in minimum wage zero hours contracts jobs. All whilst we have been in the fluffy bunny  EU.Still. they don't live in the prosperous South East so they don't really matter.

We should be putting a tax on robots as some countries are considering. But after Brexit we will have so much trade there will be well paid jobs for all.

Because people go to Richmond Park to unwind and it will not be suitable to do so. There may extra planes over Brentford but it will not be disclosed until after the new Heathrow plan has been agreed. The only light at the end of the tunnel is that BORIS is fighting it.

No I don't think it is progress.  We should be considering more teleconferencing and more skyping and facetiming etc to keep in touch.I think we need to seriously re-think where Britain is now going in the world.  We should be considering flying less and how people are going to be 'earning'a living as you can't continue to digitise and dispose of jobs without people overseeing what is happening.  The excel sheet statistics don't show the unforeseen circumstances of change - but changing and keeping on changing we must continue to do but better and with more consideration for everybody.

I got this fact from the Guardian. But what you say is coreect. I lived in Stanwell and as you say there are early arrivals often because of tail winds. I can tell you personally if you are out early on Stanwell Moor and a 747 comes up on you as it is early it can make jump. What is your view of all this?

A 6.5 hr break in flying each evening.Not quite.They are planning not to have scheduled flights between 11 pm and 5.30 am. But there may, as now, be late arrivals from delays at the departure airport and potentially late departures from technical issues. The times are also related to the time that a plane is on the stand. So an 11pm departure may actually leave the runway at 23:15. And the 5.30 arrival may land at 0515 and take 15 minutes on the taxi way......

A new car park with 22000 spaces and the M25 in a tunnel together with changes to the Stanwell Moor Rd. These feature in the PREFERED MASTER PLAN. The good news is there will be a 6 1/2 hour break in flying each evening.

Jennifer the article was in the Guardian. There is a serious worry about peoples mental health. T5 will be extended. Lots more in the article, maps etc. Lots more than just a new runway!

Good god - how sad - all that unrelenting noise.  Are those landing or departing planes?  We have landing ones coming in over Grove Park.  Currently they do alternate so we get the odd peaceful times - bliss.  By dint of refusing to get upset about these planes, most have managed to blot them out and ignore them.  The ones taking off make far more racket.  This folks is called PROGRESS!
