Dog Filth

Just worked all day 12 hours gone out for a pint get home to find my shoes covered in dog SxxT. What is it with the dirty lazy bastards who want to own a dog but don't want to clean up after it defecates all over our footpaths. I for one would advocate the destruction of any dog whose owner does not clean up after it for that matter they should put the owner down as well. Can some someone also explain to me why in our urban environment they need to keep animals who only get to pollute parks pavements and anywhere they find to dump for no other reason than keep some moron with control freak tendencies happy.

Nothing like a good rant...One could equally say "why do morons in flats have noisy kids that scream all day and night ? - lets put down both the kids and the parents...

Always a bit annoying when seeing dogs running loose and defacating in the local park and the owners don't clear it up.It's rare most owners are really diligent and doing the right thing. But annoying when a large chunk of the park is set aside exclusively for dogs but many owners complain they won't use it because of the amount of dogs mess inside the area!But really annoying is barking dogs. a lady three doors down goes off to work at 6.45am and her dog barks all morning at anything.  It barks at 5am and in the evening. It's a small dog with a heck of a loud bark and it's a really lovely dog when out and about.It's very hard to know what to say to the lady. She is very pleasant and so is here dog but I wonder if she is either immune to it's barking or simply unaware of what the little fella gets up to when she is out at work.Dogs are needy creatures. and really they need space and time with their best friends. Is a cluttered, cramped and time obsessed urban society really in the interests of the dogs well being let along trying to get a good nights sleep.?

I am a cat person - but do accept that they can be a pain if neighbours are not - (ours are luckily). Similarly we have a problem with bloody yapping dogs, are the owners all deaf I wonder? However owning a pet comes with responsibilities, and I don't think people actually work it through before rushing in to getting that sweet little puppy/kitten/rescue. Vets bills can be horrendous, insurance is another minefield, and that's without food and exercise (for a dog) - flea treaments etc. Fortunately our cat only picks on me! Pets are family members and deserve the consideration you'd give to any person - not to mention taking on board that not everyone else shares your devotion, especially late at night or first thing in the morning barking its head off! Clearing up after Fido ain't nice - but it does go with the territory, dog faeces can contain all sorts of nasties that can have serious health implications especially for children, and who wants it trailed into their home?When I see some of these people I wouldn't let them keep a pot plant never mind a living thing.

Its always been like it. Extend the problem and you come to dogs on leads. In an area near here a notice says dogs must be on leads. At least fifty per cent are not. Now you may not believe this but I have seen dogs running free in both Bushey Park and Richmond Park around the DEER. Another problem is for joggers. Now I am not a jogger but they are inofensive as far as I am concerned. However I was talking to one and he said they are always bothered by dogs not on a lead.
