Somebody on Facebook thinks I'm a poppy nazi because I don't like the dinner plate sized poppies festooning the streets of both Brentford & Isleworth. No doubt other places.

I miss the Christmas tree on 'The Golden Mile' Rank Audio Visual (the former MacCleans building), Trico, Gillettes and Firestone used to be ablaze with trees and lights.

I love the poppies too. Respect for the past. Yes GSK have done particularly well this year. Can we now have some Christmas trees this year please?

I love the Poppies decorating the streets and the way they remind us of how lucky we are.

Congratulations to the locals in Bedfont (drove through this afternoon). Not only does virtually every lamppost have a large poppy but there must be at least 150 poppy flags flying.Well done!!!

Suggest you ask that of the original poster. The definition of 'don't like' however is self-explanatory so you may want to rephrase the question.Personally, I wear my regimental (Royal Fusiliers) poppy with pride all year long.

Please define "don't like". They were never intended to be Christmas decorations.

If these Poppies help all of us to just stop and remember what sacrifices have been made for us, just for a couple of minutes on one day a year - then they have done their job.
