Possible removal of island Grove Road?College Road Isleworth

I think the council want to remove the island at the junction of Grove Road and College Road Isleworth. This is to alter the traffic flow ,but nobody in the council planning will confirm the island will be removed. No body from the Mayor down can clarify the plans. If the island is removed where can the pupils of Isleworth & Syon cross this busy junction ? Please , clarification from Mark Frost's department is required.

I also think that narrowing the junction but retaining the island would be the safest option. God alone knows why there's all this fuss, and not publishing the results of the consultation until the Chief Officer's report is available is not right, seems the decision is already made.

"what a silly ill thought idea this is."That applies to the whole of Hounslow Borough. They stuff up so many routes which were perfectly adequate. It seems they create jobs to keep themselves employed.

At Last Mark Frost's department have said there is not need for an island, in the middle of the road, as traffic calming humps will slow the traffic down so local residents and the vast number of pupils who attend Isleworth & Syon School can cross the road. Mark Frost should visit =-in person- in the morning at about 0800-0900 and in the afternoon to see what a silly ill thought idea this is.

Still no word or clarification from the Planning Dept,or local councillors ,also Isleworth & Syon School whose pupils use that traffic island on a daily basis Even the Mayor is very quiet on this farce..

NO -  not unless it is a TfL road which are mainly the trunk roads such as the A316.

O don't know the area but if this traffic island is on a bus route doesn't it then become a TfL matter rather than a local council's one?
