Brexit Party Election Communication

Are any readers of this forum who are EU nationals and only able to vote in European and local UK elections receiving directly addressed Brexit Party election communications in the post?My partner and my neighbour are EU nationals and both have received these communiques today.Has the party not done its research on the electoral register to note that these individuals cannot vote in UK elections or is there something more sinister and nasty that this party is up to in order to make EU nationals living here more uncomfortable?I would like to know if any others on this forum have had the same experience.

Yes, don't know why they bother in Brentford. Stick a red rosette on a donkey's arse and its elected. Maybe there not the only morons with anything approaching a working brain.

There are three people in our household and only two of the four leaflets were addressed.I thought that they had come with the junk mail but our postie had not been by the time that I picked them up from the doormat.

Obviously I don't know how many people are in your household, but every candidate participating in a general election is entitled to free delivery of one Election Communication to each registered voter.It seems to have occurred to most political parties these days that if they send their leaflet out to different voters within the same household on different days then it is more likely to be read by occupants of that household than if they all arrive together.That said, I do share your sense of irony that the Greens of all people are pursuing this practice.

What I am asking is why are these leaflets specifically addressed (name and postal address) to EU nationals who cannot vote in the UK elections.  The Brexit Party would be aware that EU nationals cannot vote and this would be evident from the electoral register.  Therefore why target such individuals? I have not received a leaflet and I am a UK national and after asking other neighbours who are UK nationals they have also not received anything directly addressed to them in the post from the BP.

Mark, are you saying something in the content of the leaflet may make EU nationals feel uncomfortable? If so what?The leaflet I received from the BP says "we need a fair points-based system, blind to ethnic origin" What is discomforting about that?

"more incompetence than conspiracy I'd say."Got it in one.I had to chuckle though this morning when I received the fourth identical Green Party leaflet in just over a week.So much for using resources wisely!

No - no experience as British born and bred, but I'd say don't credit those morons with anything approaching a working brain, more incompetence than conspiracy I'd say.
