Whilst Councillors in the Borough..I believe that there are 60 of them in Hounslow...are duty bound to look after residents' interests in their own particular ward...Councillors do ,in addition, have a job to do at the Civic Centre... at Council Meetings and on the various sub Committees to keep an eye on the expenditure of our free spending Council and delivery of services.Council taxes and Business rates...raised in the way they are ..are excessive and unfair..in my view.So, "watchdog type" examination of the Council's expenditure is a worthy activity. With this in mind will the Community Group be attending the Civic Centre this month?? when the Council opens its accounts (and all the bills receipts and Contracts etc etc are made available)..for inspection? You may feel this is not worthwhile or necessary.Richmond Council advertise their opening days. Any news ..and your views...on Hounslow's event? Where do you stand with regard to expenditure and its monitoring?
