Ugly concrete next to Beehive Pub

Looking at the pic on front page of the characterful Beehive Pub, what on earth are the two hideous, white gleaming concrete boxes next door?  One is a tower block then there's a long flat shoe-box shaped monstrosity.   How could any planner have permitted such eyesores?    They have to go!   Or maybe this is the future planned for Brentford.

Indeed, although it was a far nicer office there than my mother (GRHS) had at Hanwell Police Station. She was at Brentford for almost fifteen years until she retired.

They have only been there for 52 years!That's the old Section house (police accommodation) and the now closed Brentford police station. Both opened in July 1967.The angle of the shot makes them look larger than they are.Wait until you see what is proposed for that site. Makes the current buildings look like kiddie's Lego.
