Paul..Yes that was a classic postcard type picture...with the trams and semi empty roads. The row of buildings are still there..as you know..and that adds much interest.The following painting by Steve Letchford..found in cyberspace somewhere..shows the old entrance to Osterley Park ..not far from the Hare and Hounds. The front entrance was moved to the top of Thornbury Road.

Nice to see the water fountain - I would like to see street fountains built into the new developments.  Ones such as the one outside the church in Brentford High street should have a preservation order on them so the planners have to fork out to put them back into action... as a part of their planning application.So there!
