Paragon Block 'A' Sell Off
Why has there been so little mention of the sell off by Nottinghill Housing of Block'A' Paragon? The block was originally for key and local workers, many of whom are still residents. It was announced in late October that the block was to be sold to the University who require additional land.Residents were served with a notice to vacate by May 2020 a few weeks ago. There have been 2 residents meetings which were turned into a shambles by residents asking irrelevant questions about current security issues with the ongoing scaffolding. Some residents have been offered alternative accommodation in Block 'B', but the offers have been in much smaller flats than they currently have. Residents felt the need to keep quiet about the sell off in order not to jepoardize any offer of alternative accomodation offers. If the development was allowed with a certain percentage of social housing, can they simply decide to sell it off when they fancy making a nice profit? I have emailed both Councillor Dunne and Councillor Lambert (back in late October, early November) - but the standard reply of we'll have a look, has led no further.
