Dear Cllr AndrewsThanks For your kind words and support you have always been there for me I just wish I didnt listen to those people years ago who told me not to have anything to do with you as you are a top guy a great Cllr and more then that a good Friend.There should be more politicians like you.As to Andrews question I will do everything i my power to get Hounslow Homes to listen to me and ban dogs from the Park area,I have the support off the local residents,press and the local Councellors on this I hope that other MP's will get behind me on this.Not only did I appear on BBC news on Friday I am in the papers this week talking about it, I have also emailed the Estate manager rom HH yesterday to demand that HH start to take this serious I posted the email I sent to her on our forum at www.ivytag.org.ukI wait now for a reply.But I wont let this go and I have the FULL support off my fellow member's at IVYTAG.Yes I am working hard for Iybridge but Thats all i ever done is try to help those residents who live there and I njoy doing so.I am also fighting 2 other projects at present not on Ivybridge so it isnt just Ivybridge I am working on.If Hh don't listen then maybe we should pick up the dog crap and deliever it to the Civic center and lets see if they like it on there door steps...

I just want to place on record that Simon is doing a phenomenonal amount of work for the community on Ivybridge at this moment in time.  He has achieved regional publicity for the dog fouling problem, has taken up the case of a young disabled man who is being hounded with undue haste by Hounslow Homes in respect of a relatively small amount of rent arrears, and is taking on a third issue which you'll hopefully read about in the local press in a week or so's time.He would have done even more had I been able to deliver promised assistance which has been unavoidably delayed due to other pressing commitments.On top of this he is doing a parachute jump to raise money for a children's hospital.Doesn't the work of genuine community people such as Simon put the shallow posturings of so many of our politicians and their little apologists into some kind of perspective?

Hi SarahYes it was my ugly mutt on the BBC1 news On Friday.I was approached by the BBC as Chair off the Ivybridge Tenant's Action Group, as we have been fighting for years to stop residents taking there dog's into the children's park on Ivybridge Estate.A few years ago I was involved in getting a dog Park built on the estate for dogs to go in.I have been asking Hounslow Homes for years to do something to stop residents taking there dog's into the park, as the dogs do there buisness in there and it is not nice for the children who play down there.Several Months ago Hounslow Homes put up a sign in the park saying, "keep your dog on a lead and clean up after it" I have told Hounslow homes this sighn is wrong it should read this is a children's play area dog are NOT allowed at all in this area, and put on it owners will be fined if they use the childrens play area for there dog.I feel that if a dog does a number 2 on the grass in the play area and the owner clean's it up there is still germs in that area where the dog has been, Also how do you clean up Dog wee?So i feel that HH need's to notify all residents on the Estate if you have a dog use the doggy park and do not take your dog into the childrens play area.We at IVYTAG want the kids on Ivybridge to be able 2 play in there park without standing/sitting in dog mess.Why should other's suffer at the expense of dog owners.I hope that has explained why I did the interview and I now hope HH open there eyes and do something about it.IVYTAG would like to see a sign up in this play area saying Dog's are banned from entering that area,letters to all residents explaing this.So we hope HH will do this now as walking across the Estate with the BBC crew we found loads off dog poo everywhere and it's got to stop.ThanksSimon

We have never understood people who let their dogs foul near children’s or picnic play areas - mind you, it takes a certain type of person to let their dog foul anywhere it might be stood in.  The parasitical eggs live in the ground for something like 2 years after being deposited by the dog through its poo.We went for a walk along the river today, and the river footpath was covered in the stuff.  The dogs must 'do their thing' within a short time after arriving for their walk, so within a few 100 yards (no metric here, puh-leese) of access to the riverside, there were mountains of the stuff.  In the middle of the path, on the edge of the path, it was worse than trying to walk across Hounslow’s cracked pavements!Per-raps you could explain to forum followers why you were on the TV news?
