Sorry to hear that, Ray. It was the only thing I used to buy there.They used to do a good pasty years ago but stopped that too. They are pretty ropey imo. Wenzel's better, the pasties are good and also hot.They also sell decent wholemeal bread.

Greg Bread Pudding is really superb. One of the best , better, dare I say than my Mother made.Bad news is Greggs no longer sell it anywhere.

Bowens in Chorley? My favourite 'up there' was Hamlets in Garstang, big lumps of steak in lovely onion gravy and just up the road from a fabulous Indian restaurant.

Not a great fan of Greggs.There are much better purveyors of similar products but you have to go to Lancashire to get them. Their steak bakes etc. are always bordering on cold. Wenzels better imo. Gregg's do a decent bread pudding, although it ain't hard to make.

Really good coffee in Greggs and a steak slice is a guilty pleasure as long as you remember to let the 'volcanically hot' contents cool before eating!
A mistake you don't make twice.
