Very likeable but many parallels with another leader of Labour who also was liable but had a rather failed pre MP career and yet got up the greasy pole somehow.

Conservatives have the highest poll ratings for years and how the hell you can drag up the Pound rate against the Euro at this present time is beyond belief or do you not realise the whole world is in a crisis?

After what we have gone through whole sections of the community can never vote conservative again. Shortages of masks, ventilators etc. Yesterday I read Germany has double the number of ICU beds empty than we have in total. The pound going down against the euro when we were told the pound was strong and the euro was weak. We must never forget. Good luck to the new leader.

The Sun already has 'Millionnaire Starmer to lead Labour Party', which is probably  based on him owning a house in London. Join the club, Keir!  At least he knows how many children he's got.  I wonder what the papers had got standing by for Long-Bailey and Nandy?By the way, isn't it remarkable how few complaints there've been about anti-Semitism since Corbyn lost the election in December - until now?!

I believe he also had considerable success as a human rights lawyer including doing pro bono work, compare that with Johnson , a journalist telling porkpies in his column in the Telegraph.

Of course, they do and I hope that Keir Starmer can build a worthy opposition. God knows we haven't had one for ten years.

There is however a time and a place and there are far greater things to consider at the moment than point-scoring like that pathetic little Islington pillock Corbyn with his "I  told you that I was right" departure speech. Odious in the extreme.

He has already said he will work with the government - BUT they do have to be held to account when they get it wrong, as they have and will again.

Only time will tell.
Hopefully, it will be a 'night of the long-knives' for Corbyn's pathetic shadow cabinet and Keir Starmer will get 100% behind government when what is needed now is unity not division.
