Brentford is brilliant

Suggestion if youhave a Brentford is Brilliant badge from past campaign please wear it. I found mine and will wear it with pride  because brentford people have pulled together and are BRILLIANT

I never mention dog poo. I am told people never let their dogs do it. They all pick it up. If you insist you saw it they can turn nasty.

I agree with the 'pub corner' bit but it is so much more than that. At the police building end of the pub car park there is a load of litter plus somebody has fly-tipped building rubble along the length of the wall - then there are the bulky items fly-tipped in the (what was) the police station car park.I despair of some people. On a walk through The Butts yesterday I saw two bright orange bags containing what was obviously dog poo left at the base of two of the trees there. You'd think these people would be ashamed on subsequent visits but probably not. Still, marginally better than the guy I saw letting his dog foul by a lamppost near The Griffin a few days ago who just left it there before going on his way.

I have seen the rubbish but cant understand why the pub could not take responsibility to at least clear when it blows into the corner as some people sweep leaves etc from outside their properties or get in touch with fix my street from the council when really bad.

I'm sure the vast majority do care for the environment but there are those, perhaps more people than previously, who are dumping stuff (fly-tipping) and also the usual casual dropping of litter which would undoubtedly be even worse if the fast food outlets were still open. I took part in a litter pick on 15th March around the back of the Beehive pub etc. You want to see that area now - or rather, you don't.

I totally agree with you Jean, it's the people who make a place special. Brentford is full of people who care about each other and their environment.

It may be a building site,l was referring to the people here who have pulled together during this time showing the community spirit ,that is what is Brilliant about Brentford.
