Tip?

I know absolutely nothing about horse racing - or come to that horses at all, but I spotted something very interesting in the racing pages of today's 'Mirror' The tipster was giving news of horses to watch - how about 'Brentford Hope'? Apparently he won by five lengths at Newmarket last October although an inexperienced horse. The tipster reckons he can pay his way once the flat season starts.

Yep and when they give Brentford even more of the last thing it needs ( flats ) they will be on a big winner

If that's true it would explain the name. Owners given as Bernadine and Sean Mulryan.

"I know absolutely nothing about horse racing". Ah, the bookies favourite. Have to say that the last time that I placed a bet was, IIRC, in 1988. I worked for a company that sold call centre telephone systems and we sold one to a major bookmaker for their telephone betting call centre. At the end of each race, a large digital display would flash up with, normally, a positive five-figure number. I asked what it was and was told that this was their profit on the individual race. They were VERY nice, well-appointed offices and the staff were VERY well paid.
I haven't placed a bet since.
