Dogs in Children's Play Areas... a problem? (+picture)

We've heard that there is a problem on the Summerfield Estate..about which Simon has been involved.  Visiting the Waterman's Gardens on Brentford's Riverfront..I could hear a lady complaining to some children for allowing their dog to roam the popular Childrens playground. She was there with her child. She didn't seem happy.Later, with the dog still inside the playground..I spoke to the older of the two boys at the playground..and he said he couldn't stop the dog following them!!30 minutes later, walking along the roadway..I could see the dog againbeing where it shouldn't be. A photo might help! Park Keeper?  Park Attendant? Parents aware?

What kind of dog is it?  Was its owner nowhere in sight?And do you have any more pictures Jim?

JimYes I am involved in stopping dog mess on the Ivybridge Estate.I appeared on the BBC news last Friday and I am in the Hounslow and Isleworth Informer this week talking about it.Hounslow Homes has assured me new signs are being prepared and put up but they wont tell me what they read.I want Dog's Banned from the children's play area completely.Why should our children not be able to play in the park because off dog mess.Also if a owner pick up dog mess it still leaves germs in the area it was done also how do you clean up dog wee?It is about time Hounslow Homes start acting on this.Every weekend I take my 3 children to Redlees park and the amount off people using this park for there dogs is terrible i feel it is time the council ban dogs from public parks and put more doggy pks around the area for for dog owners to go.Simon AndersonChair of IVYTAG
