Totally agree. We are Hounslow Council's ginger stepchild, expected just to accept any old architectural ordure the developers serve up.

When will we see some decent architecture in Brentford or Ealing? The stuff being approved is just so crappy looking and looks even worse when built and weathered.Very few exceptions and probably the biggest failing of planning and policy is not having really exacting and high expectations of developers. The latest Baltimore box beside St Lawrences Church.Drawings show cladding that runs in the opposite direction to the church's lines. It just looks wrong and is far from harmonising with the existing historic structure. And is that right? A swimming pool in a historic graveyard?

Just like the brown, mundane and unremarkable blocks built down Commerce Rd.At least they are tucked out of the way to some extent and not in full view. When will the building of flats in Brentford end, I wonder?

They look dreadful do you think the architects went to Lego to get ideas?
