Hounslow Hub food boxes

Guy Lambert - as someone involved with Food Box, I sure you can provide the answer for a neighbour of mine.   She asks "Can you please advise how to restrain Hounslow ?Hub from sending me any more food supplies; ....  I have tried hard on laptop without success and also on landline. Enormous quantities for a family of 4 or 5; no address given,..."I've been able to find the following - “....  020 7084 9697 or Hub@hounslow.gov.uk. Please do not contact the Hub unless urgent help is required for someone isolated and vulnerable with no other support network.”  So not sure if this will be any help.

On another website excess food has been given away to soup kitchen/food bank.  I guess they are more anxious that there is enough but everybody tends to eat different amounts snd different things.  It's a chance to try new things!

Thanks for prompt reply but I think she'd like to contact the Hub directly - have you any idea of a tel no. or email link?I can't find one either.  Seems a terrible waste of the Council's facilities and volunteers.

I'm not directly involved with the council hub but if you share your neighbour's address I can pass the message on. Also, if she has surplus food that is in date we'll be very happy to pick it up for the Hounslow Community FoodBox. This is an independent charity (I am a trustee) and quite separate from the council's Hub and is a foodbank which supports people who are short of money rather than those who are locked down and vulnerable (whom the council hub targets).
