Council Tax

If Hounslow Council could just send me my council tax bill for 2020 instead of a 'Coronavirus updade' every two blasted seconds, I for one would be a happy man. 'Your Council Tax bill is ready to view'?? No. Just no. How can they send me stupid Coronavirus, no problem. But I have to go, logon, register, all that malarkey, whatever to find out what I'm being fleeced this year? Why? Send. me. my. bill.

I think you subscribe here: https://www.hounslow.gov.uk/coronavirusI actually get each one 4 times - once each to my personal email and my LBH email direct from the council and to the same two addresses from a group which forwards stuff (normally very helpfully!)the LBH updates are 3 times a week now - used to be daily

I am intrigued - I have received two at the most emails from the Council since lockdown and one of those was re Council Tax. Why would it be that some people are receiving regular emails re the current situation and not others? Not that I'm looking to be overrun with correspondence!

Yup I receive a chatty e mail from our leader Mr Curran every day I think, but am unable to count them cos I have deleted most of them.  I do actually think its a good idea by the way - the e mails not the deleting lol

It's quite easy to sign up for things without realising, or even through a 'fat finger' event.Emailing would be sensible. Perhaps the council thinks it isn't secure enough.

Ah, thanks. I can't remember agreeing on paperless but would have if asked PROVIDED they agreed to email it to me instead.

Very annoying, I'm sure. Strange though 'cos I've had next to none and did receive my Council tax bill online.Something is rotten in the State of Denmark!

I've had 27 since the 19 March. The point I'm making - or trying to make - is if they can do this, then surely they can jolly well send me my council tax bill. I don't want to have to go fishing around for it somewhere on the Council web site. If they don't want to send a printed bill through the post to save money, that's fine: I get that. But please, just email my bill, is all I'm asking.

Well this is rather strange - I can't even think when I last had one or whether I've received one by email at all. I've also only had one letter re coronavirus and even the memory of that is hazy.

I get two at the same time every few days. Problem is some of it is informative but when you link to some of the events they have already happened for were fully booked days before. So a little bit of advance notice would be good.Still no telephone numbers for those who are not online or suffer from  really poor broadband. It's terrible here but OK in my office so I have to cycle there just to do emails and Zoom conferences.  Wastes a lot of time and puts pressure on at home rendering others unable to work.

Just how many coronavirus updates have you had? If it's every two seconds, that must be an awful lot.Seriously though, I live in Hounslow and have only received a very few of these updates.Are other Hounslow folk drowning in coronavirus updates? Should we be envious of those that are?
