Noise from Great West Plaza

The constant electrical whine and fan noise from Great West Plaza is deafening. 24 hours a day. Especially bad for the residents of Robin Gove who can't have their windows open.I've reported it to the council. Lets see what happens.If anyone else is bothered by this then do report it. The more people on the case maybe someone will take action.

It's a real pity that Cllr. Curran's constituents haven't got him on speed dial, unlike the Duke of Northumberland's estate when he's thinking of putting in yet another planning application on the Park Road allotments, where they lost a public planning inquiry just eighteen months ago. The estate doesn't seem to have any trouble with getting the councillor to attend to them with planning officers in tow. Never mind the interests of local people who objected, clearly the aristocracy are far more important than the electorate.

What do you mean by a 'non-job'? Please give a few examples.

Quite agree - merely reinforces my opinion that there are far too many people doing non-jobs where they take a salary (or furlough), occupy space and facilities but mouth noises while refusing to take any responsibility for the job they've supposedly been employed to do!  That employee's boss is probably doing a non-job too but at a higher salary!

Why not contact all the local ward councillors? It is bad enough trying to sleep in the hot weather without this, it would drive me bananas, you have all my sympathy.

Well done, Noticed the droning had gone.Keep a diary, thats what destroyed the mental health of a friend in an A2 Dominion Flat suffering terrible noise from the flat above.Council did nothing after 6 months of daily diaries, kept putting the onus on him and would not deal with useless A2 Dominion - drove him to inches of taking his life.And people get paid salaries to deal with this sort of pollution and awfulness.

Update.Gave up with the council who wanted me to keep a diary even though it was 24 hours.I went over to Great West House and spoke to the building manager who has switched off and repairing the whining AC Unit. Great response from him. Thank you.Still working on the fans from Vodaphone at the end of Robin Grove.

The whining noise is coming from half way up the West side of Great West House. Faulty AC Unit. I went over and spoke to the concierge and am now trying to talk to the managing agent. Fingers crossed we can sort this. I can't sleep.

Surely they can be made to install some baffles or accoustic shielding? How diffilcult can it be?

I also hear this, looking at the site, it seems it is Great West House and could be the air conditioning units. There is a separate tower which contains these. It is indeed very loud and annoying and I have also raised with the council.

That can be heard from Hamilton Road and towards Morrisons in the Half Acre. It's really irritating but thought it was coming from GSK.  But it drones and resonates all the time when its warm just enough to become irritating a bit like an itch one can't quite find or get to.Hope this gets sorted as its always there but thought it was aircraft or traffic. It clearly isn't.

It's cooling fans for a cloud based server. Funnily enough our data isn't stored in a Cloud. It's kept in thumping great cabinets being cooled by industrial fans. I've seen them in the middle of the desert in the USA but didn't expect one in Brentford. It's terrible. Still waiting too hear from the Council....holding breath.

What exactly is causing the noise? I heard it when in the nearby park recently. I would be driven nuts by it - I have, I think, a particularly low tolerance of humming etc noises.
