Brentford Carnival/Festival 4th sept  12-5pm boston manor park

Carnival time in the park on September 4th The summer might be nearly over for another year but there's still one big event to look forward to - the Carnival in Boston Manor Park.Taking place on Sunday September 4th between 12 midday and 5pm, the carnival has plenty to enjoy for all the family, with sports, music, food and much much more.For Sports fans there's football coaching from Brentford Football Club, tennis coaching on the park's tennis courts and a visit from the English Cricket Board Roadshow. Music fans will enjoy a variety of acts including a special performance by Brentford's unique band Slipper, DJ Douglas Benford, the Brian Stephenson Jazz Band and folksters Stringfellows.and  pop/rock band Red Eye Banquet. some of  the music will be pedal-powered by our special cycle-cum-generator.Goddards Brentford will be supplying a 24ft lorry for the other bands.If you're feeling creative then a local graffiti artist will be hosting a special workshop, there'll be children's dance and drama workshops and there'll be face painting, nail painting and henna hand painting. The CIP playteam will be on hand to use up any spare energy your children may have.Bargain hunters will enjoy the car boot sale, the charity tombola stalls and locally produced arts and crafts on sale.To recover, there'll be a beer tent and a Food Court featuring food from around the country and around the world, courtesy of Brentford Farmers Market.If you want to take part in the carnival by holding a stall or taking part in the Car Boot Sale, it's not too late.
