Public transport disruption/forthcoming roadworks in Brentford

The above notices listed on TW8 have not mentioned any kind of disruption alongBrentford High Street with closing of bus stops, road works etc, surely these count as disruption to some people or have l missed when this information was given out, unless it has come under adifferent category somewhere else?

I am interested to know exactly how Hounslow or is it solely down to the broke TfL intends to manage this enormous influx of people going about their lives and/or visiting the new Stadium.  The North and South circulars are hardly free flowing especially at rush-hours.

Walking or Cycling.The notion seems to be that everyone living in these places or anywhere come to that works just up road at t'mill or Factory.And that all they must carry to work is their id card and a phone.Clearly these people cooking up all these utopian ideals are the ones who do  only carry their Vegan packed lunch with their iPad and ear buds.Lucky them It's all to good to be true.No-one seems to remember that walking or cycling distances is great in the unusually good weather.But what if the Lockdown had been like the previous 3 months before it?Wet, slippery, cold dark and windy.As it is we have had quite windy weather this summer. Try cycling uphill against that or trying to keep wishing the King Street lanes when buffeted by crosswinds.Not so easy.Or turning up at work and stinking the office out because it has not shower or changing facilities as they are closed due to Covid regulations?Very few can cycle safely in that.As usual no joined up thinking or fixing things that need doing first before implementing policies of dubious provinencePoor pavements and the slime of tree detritus from footways that are not properly maintained anymore make walking dicey too. Fix the ruts, bad road markings and uneven pavements and that's a benefit for all and not just a few.

This week I had one of my first outings since early March.  We drove from Hartington Rd along to Kew Bridge, no traffic and easily straight across the junction to Old Brentford.  Tok all of 5 mins, if that!  Same coming back.  We had a delicious lunch at The Griffin Pub just by the now closed Football Ground.  On the way I just could not believe the vast size of the towering apartment blocks looming behind the Express Tavern around the new stadium.  How on earth are those thousands of new people going to get about?  No cars so reliant on tfl's non existent buses and crowded tube, and SW infrequent trains.    That's only the beginning, hundreds of new boxes in the sky going up around the junctions by Chiswick roundabout.  Narrowed roads wider cycle lanes that's it folks!  What great planning - utter madness.

I was just hoping there might be a glimmer and a thought for people who use buses and can't walk from Brent lea to Morrison's either way even if they just want a coffee and sit and watch the world go by, or want to go to either estate agent and try to escape from dear old Brentford town

Love for the brains behind this to have been around to help me with heavy bag after collecting delivery from the Verdict last Thursday and carry it along high street left at God cards and along to bus stop and it was rather hot and l am reasonably fit compared to some,come on whoever you are l dare you

They're too bound up with cyclists and closing roads to worry about people trying to use public transport to get to work. My son had to come home from Hammersmith by bus and had to brave roadworks there, Chiswick, Brentford and Isleworth - an absolute nightmare.
