We hear very little about mink in the uk. It is virtually impossible to estimate the number of mink in the wild especially on the canals. Does anyone know any thing, especially in the light of Denmark?

Let's hope the many animals of the same genus are not so susceptible to the dreaded lurgy.

I caught part of a very interesting programme about Denmark's history on Radio 4 yesterday morning. We think of them as being super-virtuous but they have a dark past. Among other things, their slave plantations in the Caribbean apparently made everyone else's look like holiday camps. They literally worked their slaves to death.

Yes it's called overcrowding.Something that is rather popular with the mayor of London and property developers putting quotes and profits first and seen all over the world is the same circumstances.Be nice if they could act as quick in putting a stop to overdensification with the same zeal as blocking off roads- allegedly due to unacceptable overcrowding.

Yes, from what I can understand the conditions that they are kept in have a lot to do with the spread of the virus.

I don't think wild mink are the problem. The Danes farm them intensively.
