Patchwork seeks to hear from young people in Brentford Related Links VSO Youth Volunteering Local heroes honoured by mayor Participate Sign up for our free weekly newsletter Comment on this story on the forum The orgasnisers of a new Boys and Girls Club are inviting all members of the community to an open meeting to talk about what they want to see from the new club.The club will be known as Patchwork and has the following aims:· It is a place to promote healthy physical, educational and social development of children and young people.· It is a positive place where children and young people can have freedom to be kids and have fun while learning new skills.· It is a place where caring professionals, adults & parents will work to cultivate children's talents and enhance their character and education· Children and young people will learn how to live healthy and productive lives.Yvonne Marimo, one of the organisers, told us "To achieve our aims, we need the support of the community - parents, individuals, young people, private and public companies, the statutory sector and our valuable schools."We are now inviting you to come to a consultation meeting to find out from parents, children and young people about what activities they would want to have at Patchwork."Date: Friday 16th of September 2005St Paul's Parish Centre - 4.00pm to 6:00pm. The presentation will start at 5:00pm.
