OFGEM Investigation Into Utility Point.

IMPORTANT UPDATE. UTILITY POINT HAVE HAD THEIR SUPPLY LICENCES REVOKED BY OFGEM?                                                                                                                                                                                          After spending nearly 4 months trying to get to the bottom  of how Look After My Bills illegally changed my energy supplier from SSE to Utility Point, today has come a breakthrough. I had to deal with the matter myself after Look After My Bills who claimed to have started an investigation into the matter 65 days ago refused to respond to my last dozen or so phone calls or my last 8 emails. Today someone posted the following on trusted website Trustpilot regarding Utility Point and Look After My Bills.                                                                                                                                   "I just got a quote from LAMB and it suggested I change to a company called Utility Point.According to Trustpilot, this company are under investigation regarding giving customers incentives for positive reviews.The OFGEM website says they have revoked their supply licences with effect from 4 January 2021.LAMB...you say you work with suppliers who value their customers and are committed to improving their customer service.“Don’t worry, if a supplier has terrible customer service we won’t switch you to them even if they want to pay us!”I think you need to have an urgent review of some of the companies you are recommending.I won’t be using LAMB."

Notification from Trustpilot regarding Utility Point.AlertWe're currently investigating this company and the reviews on this page.In addition and in accordance with our "action we take" policy we have sent a warning to this business following evidence received from reviewers that the company has been offering incentives for reviews, which is a breach of our guidelines.While we investigate, we'll continue to remove any reviews that have been left as a result of the incentive.

Following a dozen unanswered phone calls and 9 unanswered emails to Daniel, I finally had the following email this afternoon from him. And his only concern was that I, through my own efforts had resolved the matter after more than 3 months.                                                                                                                                                                            "Hi Neil,I hope you're well. I have looked at the information regarding Utility Point - our list of affiliated suppliers is constantly under review and I have personally flagged concerns about Utility Point's customer service to management who are assessing the scale of the problem. In terms of your complaint: it sounded from one of your previous emails as if Utility Point had agreed to process an erroneous transfer directly. Can I confirm that this is the case?All the best, DanielSenior Energy Advisor and Complaints ManagerLook After My Bills."                                                                                                Daniel may have flagged up concerns about Utility Point but Look After My Bills are STILL signing the gullible up to them.
