The market has hardly run over the past year. I have heard, though, that there is to be one this month and (if my memory serves me right) they are on the 2nd Sunday of the month 10.00-2.00. I have also heard that there is to be (a bigger?) one in May. The market is held in the square near The Verdict. It is quite a small affair but a good place to just hang around, drink coffee and bump into neighbours.

That was the old wholesale fruit market Roger. It relocated to Western International Market on the Hayes/Southall borders in the early 1970's. The market being discussed here is in Brentford town centre in front of the old magistrates court, now the pub called "The Verdict".

I didn't know Brentford had a market. Where is it?Once upon a time I believe it was at the junction of Brentford High Street and Chiswick High Road. Moreorless opposite the Express. But I think that was the 19th Century ...

Haha yes KeithI have always called it the Viaduct for some strange reasonMust mention the bread shop on the High Street as well which I had never noticed before as we got a lovely crusty loaf from there and really nice service as well
