What A great Guy!!

Dear sirI want to talk about a guy who I think is wonderfull...I ave lived in Isleworth 20+years and seen alot off good people come and go but this guy is well one in a million. His Name "Simon Anderson"Let me tell you about this guy, He moved up here from Plymouth in 1997 and in 1998 he got involved in the local residents group on Ivybridge where I have many friends. He has done so much for the estate including helping get a new park built next to the community centre on the Estate,a doggy park,a new fence by the school, new signs on the estate and he helped get a new crossing for the school on Ivybridge not to mention the hundreds off other jobs he has helped residents with.In 2003 he managed to get a office opened on the Estate for residents to talk about there problems which he sat in every day up till he left the residents group last year and was asked to join another group called "Ivybridge Tenants Action Group" where he is now chair off.He has many battles with Hounslow Homes to work with Ivytag but they refuse to which i feel is wrong. This year he has campaigned hard to get a dog free zone in a park on Ivybridge appearing on BBC1 news and in Local papers which he is still fighting to happen, he also is trying to get Hounslow Homes to place new equipment in the park on Ivybridge for the local youth.e is also a main supporter of the legal action against Thames and attds regular meetings at Thames and Police forum meetings and has become well loved with local residents and Ward Cllrs for his hard campaigning. In November his 10yr old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia and in February he shaved his hair off for his daughter and with help from readers on Brentford and Chiswick forums and everyone who read his article in the local papers he raised over a thousand pound for his daughter to give to Great Ormand St Hospital. After that he started to raise more money by signing up to Jump out off a plane with again the support off the readers off both forums above, local residents and Ward Cllrs he has raised over £1500 for GOSH and will shortly be doing his jump and already has started his next project to raise more money for GOSH, he has even in the last few months threw his group Ivytag got people to donate TV's,play-stations,games,books and toys to Starlight Children's Ward at west Middlesex.with all thats going on in his personal life he still takes time to think and help others.A few months ago he spent a day in Kensington Gardens as a volunteer at Gosh fundraiser "Peter pan picnic"I read a few months ago about a ex resident on Ivybridge who was awarded a MBE for her services to the community but a lot off locals I know have never heard off her but Simon Anderson they have.I think it is time they award this guy with a MBE as he has done far more in his community then anyone I know...He is a credit to the community and all i can say is on behalf off myself and the residents I Know "Thank you"Jason StanleyIsleworth resident

""For the record I don’t really have an issue with people logging on under pseudonyms. So long as they aren’t being offensive, political or fibbing! As for your confession to the whole Jason Stanley affair well I have to admit to being a little gob smacked.""oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooJames.I mostly agree with you..but especially about the fibbing. Is it possible to sustain a TW7 Forum based on pseudonyns..especially in view of the kind of cyberlouts who seem to be around? George will nodoubt happily engage in responses and then, when things become impossible, the plug is pulled and a whole batch of messages is deleted.Although your "behind the scenes" work is to be admired ..and gratefully received by the sounds of it...the front of house activity is just not evolving. When the Forum began, there was hope..but then ridiculous message headings began to appear..and then odd subject headings...with "IVYTAG" and "Chair" plastered everywhere.Calendar entries for cultured events were wiped out, information boards were of a poor quality (there was even a list of local restaurants with their 081 phone numbers that had long closed down!)..and then the fighting began when suggestions were being made by myself and perhaps others. The Ivytag mob hadn't a clue how to answer questions in an informative way..and thus progress about the scope of Isleworth floudered. Then the Room 101 brigade let loose and plugs were pulled..and George adopted an "It's mine and I'll do and say what I like" stance. Nothing wrong in that..so TW7 has become his Blog..and is now largely dormant as you will be aware. The list of early members was deleted and many never rejoined. One went to look at the Old Isleworth website for solace..and then Brentford online/Isleworth online but the usual suspects had planted their stakepoles there as well for all to see. There may be hackers around who are helping to cause chaos by infiltrating people's computers...but your good work is going to flounder unless another conductor helps you..waving their directional baton. Maybe I'm taking it all too seriously..and as the "Secret Squirrel" said I should go on holiday.

(One correction...WITH)If you want to carry on amusing yourself by reading the story about the "deceitful?" postings of Jason Stanley ..you should type in JASON STANLEY in the SEARCH FORUM box...and check out the postings entitled "Banter" and "Wara"Both threads illustrate what a total lot of swaddle we've had to tolerate on this treasured Forum...damaging enough..but worse still when the same activities started on the new TW7 Forum.(some of  those messages since deleted by George during his upgrades)I have just read Simon's last posting..as I accessed his message to reach this REPLY BOX. Has Simon now admitted to being Jason Stanley on the previous message? What a joke.  I've always have felt that my uneasy feelings and criticisms were WITH some foundation. Jason and his buddy just got under my skin on so many occasions. All those unanswered questions. What a waste of keyboard time.Read this:oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo""Ha Ha Ha..I love it You think I am Jason Stanley nice one love it..You have deffinatly proved you are a member of a politicle group on here using a false name to dis credit others and especially those who support a diffrent group to yours.God how wrong can you be I wouldnt need to come on here using a alias to praise my profile god I did that myself by Working my arse off all these years with my residents work and all the charity work i have been doing. Also everyone on here not only know what I m about but support my causes so I dont need to praise myself up.And if you read my comments I ate being praised up I do what I do as I enjoy it.As to Jason I will let him know of your comments....But you have given me a good laugh though BARNEY or whatever your name is""ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooEnough for tonight. No wonder the Brentford Forum struggles however much one tries. One's concentration just keeps on being distracted by this stupid ongoing issue.

PaulGood one but the parachute jump mate!!Annyou are absolutely correct my reward will be the day I am told Shivon is got the all clear!I do though feel this topic is silly I have done nothing to deserve all this.I just like helping people.I am as i said grateful for everyones kind words and support but I said it before I don't do what I do to be rewarded i do it because I care and enjoy it and my rewards are when I see a project I am campaigning for gets done or a job I do for a resident gets sorted and when I see children on starlight ward in west Middx play with the toys I got for them and watch the TV's I gave them. Also to know the money I raised for GOSH will buy equipment which will help a child's life thats my reward.I have to say though I cant do what I do without others help.I mean if it wasn't for great people like yourself I could not give money to GOSH or if it wasn't for kind people like yourself I could not give TV's and Toys to starlight ward.As to the work I do for residents I could not do it without the great support I get from my fellow members of IVYTAG, And the fantastic support i get from the 3 elected ward Councilors and Especially Cllr Andrews who not only helps me with resident issues but he gives me a lot off support with the charity work and unlike Ann he gives generously also.So as I said I don't deserve all this I just do what I can I wish it was more.Yes there are people who kick me down and try to stop me like Hounslow Homes who wont even sponsor me or work with me nor will recv my emails about residents issues which is very upsetting..Anyway I do thank you all for these kind words but as Ann Said my reward will be when Shivon gets the all clear.Simon
