Urgent message - Severe Congestion at Hogarth Roundabout
We have just been advised by Transport for London that a container lorry has turned over on the Hogarth Roundabout. It is on the eastern side of the roundabout in the section between the eastbound and westbound A4 carriageways so the A4 traffic can still flow, but if travelling east on the A4, it is not possible to turn right around the roundabout into Church Street or down the A316 south to Chiswick Bridge. If coming out of Chiswick on the A316 Chiswick Lane, then the only choice on reaching the roundabout is to turn left towards Hammersmith. Whilst the A4 is still open in both directions, very heavy congestion can be expected and, as It is likely that it will take some time to clear this vehicle, it is advisable to avoid Hogarth Roundabout for the next few hours.Chris Calvi-Freeman, Head of Transport, LB Hounslow
