Demolition of Griffin Park Begins

Can't claim to have been a regular but visited the place many times over the years and have fond memories of it so this is sad to see. Looking forward to my first trip to the Brentford Community Stadium but can't help feeling that, while it might smell a bit nicer, the new place will be a bit sterile compared to Griffin Park. My head tells me that a shiny new stadium is needed along with the potential it offers. My heart says, after first visiting GP in 1960 with my dad and my granddad "goodbye, old friend".So sad that ruddy Covid-19 stopped so many from their last visit.
