Hitting the nail!

'Whenever I hear the word 'consultation' I smell a rat. In the mouths of politicians, this weasel word means; "We are going to do something really nasty. But first we'll ask a few people if it's O.K. - and then go ahead anyway.'  With thanks to Paul Routledge in today's Daily Mirror.

Surely that should be "But first we'll ask a few people who hate cars or friendly property developers if it's O.K".
