An (ex) editor writes...

Just a quick note to say that I'll be stepping down as Editor of this site. All being well, I'll be one of the Labour candidates for Brentford Ward in the next local elections and it's obviously totally inappropriate for me to stay on as editor. I'll still be involved with admin and some of the Diary updates, but control of the News pages passes back to NeighbourNet HQ.I think we've got a good site here, and that we can continue the growth that the site has seen over the past couple of years - thanks to all readers and contributors. Big thanks from me Matt...you've done a great job for the local Community.I hope all Brentfordians appreciate what you do behind the scenes..whether its running the show at the Farmers' Marketor Editing this valuable website.  You've provided a very friendly and informative umbrella for us all to play under!Stirring the porridge for two years or more in Brentford is no mean achievement.  You have enabled us to make cyberspace friendships which is a unique happening in our lives...especially for us Oldies...and we also feel better informed about what goes on in our dear Brentford locality.  You seem to have been very tolerant and reasonable about all the larking about we do under your nose...and your friendly and understanding responses have placed you in high esteem.Politics aside...which Councillor are you wishing to replace? ;0)

matt,Good luck in the future, and thanks for the success of BrentfordTW8.com in spite of some of us and our weird postings.Perhaps now we may see some 'contributions' from you - politics apart - when in the past it wasn't proper for you to comment now you can let off steam along with the rest of us on whatever gets you down.
