Chiswick 'over 5,000 visits to site.....'?

They're at it again...squabbling...a baby starter kit caused the ruckus!I think possibly the 5,000 just tune in to see what's eating the "New Chiswickians" this week, and to check on their current rant.

Ann, the big squabble was the 4x4 vehicle debate,196 hits and counting, petrol heads vs eco warriors, but some seem confused as to which side they were on. Bit like, 'we don't want a phone mast'!Oh dear I can't raise Tarquin on my 'mobly'. No mast, no mobly sorry about that!!

"New Labour will never live down their treatment of that gentleman who shouted "Nonsense" at Jack Straw"A similar attitude was on display at the general election count from the plastic gangstas in suits who escorted The Presence into the Civic Centre shortly before the result was announced.  Alas Paul Fisher is more than forty years Mr. Wolfgang's junior and quite a large lad so they settled for a few half-hearted threats, but I've no doubt they would happily have bundled him out of the building in like fashion had any of them been brave/foolish enough to attempt it.

Jim,New Labour will never live down their treatment of that gentleman who shouted "Nonsense" at Jack Straw.  In fact their whole 'Conference' this year stank to high heaven.Come back Clement Attlee! Then again, that's a different political party altogether...New Labour has no connection whatsoever to the Labour Party of old.Soap box now back out in the garden shed...

""a baby starter kit ""It seemed to have been an ambiguous phrase to use..and thank goodness there are some humourous  contributors there on the Chiswick Forum ..who can twist the words..for our amusement.Hecklers,and answering back can be wonderfully funny at times.....unfortunately not so at Labour Party Conferences!Agreed some Forum contributors can be regularly damning and downing..but that's part of the fabric of....some people!  But ChiswickW4.com's success is really marvellous..and the spin offs for Brentford,Ealing, Acton and Putney etc are to be appreciated...imho!And as for Wandsworth..well thanks a bonus facility!

Ah well, Ann, I couldn't resist checking out the topics you mentioned.  I haven't had any difficulty in viewing Chis-wick but I have had difficulty in viewing TW8, at times this past week.  The spats can be quite funny.They ignored the postings I was making about the fact they have ooodles of traffic wardens and don't really need/want them, and us at this end of the Borough have to negotiate smashed and uneven slabs, and can't find a warden!  Is it because Chis-wicks rates and the pavement purse are assessed separately from the rest of the Boroughs so it really isn’t anything to do with the rest of the Borough?
