Update on Shivon

Dear All,I just wanted to tell you all how Shivon is doing.She has had her last Lumber puncture at reat Ormand St Today and is now half way through her treatment and the worst part.Instead of Going to GOSH every month for injection in her back (lumberpuncture) she only has to go every 3mths now.She will continue to have medicines and a vincristine injection at the local hospital.Her hair should grow back now and not fall out which she is looking forward to.She is doing wonderful but she is still not eating so still having overnight feeds threw a tube in her nose, but she has been referred to a child psychologist to sort that out.So I am very pleased it is all going well the leukemia has gone and treatment is working.She got a letter and signed DVD of Love actually the other wk from Emma Thompson and a signed photo from Robbie Coltrane as she loves Harry Potter.Anyway thats it I will keep you informed on her progress!SimonPS my jump is next Thursday a little scared but its for a great cause didn't make the target off £2000 I wanted but I was very close.

I am in Isleworth also.Drop it off anytime i will send u my address via prvt email.Yes seen lots of brave kids in the hospital and i couldnt be that brave like them its truely a inspiration.Simon

Thanks for the speedy reply Simon! I can imagine you see some heartbreaking kids in the hospital. I'm in Isleworth, can I drop stuff off to you or would you prefer me to keep it for you until your next boot sale? It will be a couple of black bags full.C

Hi CarolineThank you for your kind words.yes I am so proud of Shivon she is so Strong and great she just gets on with it all and not allow it to get her down  She is Fantastic like all the kids ill in hospital.As to car boot sale stuff yes still after stuff anything really whatever you have would be great.Many ThanksSimon

Hi Simon,Although I don't usually reply I'm a big fan of Shivon and enjoy your regular updates. Glad to hear that she is doing so well- you must be very proud. I remember you were looking some time ago for stuff to sell at a car boot sale to raise funds for GOSH but couldn't find the link. I've finally had my clear-out- do you still need stuff and what sort of things would be useful?Kind regards, Caroline

LizThanks for your kind words! when she has the injections she is asleep but she does have a little pain after in her back but it don't stay for long, she is such a wonderful brave girl I am very proud to call her my little girl.Thanks againSimon

I always like to hear how your daughter is getting on - she must be a truly amazing little girl. She is obviously very lucky to have such support from the hospital and her Dad and I just wanted to tell you I think you are doing a great job. I hope the treatment is not too painful for her - keep up the good work and good luck with the jump!Best wishes

Simon,Nice to hear a little good news on Shivon, though God love her it isn't really that good at all when one considers what she has to put up with.I'll bet she is thrilled to bits with the photo of 'Hagrid'!  (I'd like one of them myself, so tell her I'm jealous!).Good luck tomorrow - rather you than me...although my granddaughter Rebecca did a jump earlier this year (a present from her boyfriend.....?).
