I have only recently heard about the pending decision on the future of the small mansions art centre- Personally I think, when the Rothchilds donated to mansion to the community for an art centre to be shared with The youth & adults who don't have access to a creative environment it should have been exactly that- From what I can gather it has had a handfull of dusty artist's in it's studios procrastinating and hardly sharing the site with the community and it's members. Which is probably why the public are not very sympathetic to the cause. It still should be an arts centre but run by the local people for the community, local colleges and universites. But it seems the council are playing the cards close to it's chest and really nobody is none the wiser on what is the real story behind this place.
