This has been going on for months in the US just not here.. AFAIK UK CAA are not worried about 5g to aircraft in the UK/EU , unlike the same aircraft in the US. This is because the frequencies the US are using for 5g are different to the UK/EU (there are many freq bands but the bandwidth selection is different). The US wants to use C band, its less crowded than the rest and you can really multiplex the hell out of a connection (ie higher throughput). The majority of UK/EU 5g rollouts are using 3.4-3.8Ghz and 26Ghz , where as the US using using 4Ghz+ and C Band which is around 5.8-6ish. Different Altimeters work on different band/systems and C band is too close for comfort, some aircraft are more vulnerable due to the Alt system they use hence why the A380 isnt affected but the 777 is.. Anyway, in summary, our frequencies and band separations are different to the US which is why its less of a problem here.Oh and yes 5g will fry your brain and encourage you to vote for the swinging party of dorset in the next election. Make sure you wear the silver hat at all times....
