Problem is the London Irish games as well, who are getting good attendances. And that premiership games are not all 3pm kick offs on saturdays.Right on a junction of the 2 busiest key routes in West London which links North West and South West London.Regular road closures on the M4 A 316 and M3 and A40 on match days along with the non delivery of the much vaunted train service improvements plus the ever helpful TfL closing stations even a long walk away at a moments notice have filtered into the football fans knowledge of places to avoid by public transport. On some match days it's taking over an hour to get to Brentford from Greenford and Northolt, with many fans factoring in 2 to 3 hours and still missing much of the 1st half.No-one really took heed of the warnings that this part of London is really busy on weekends and none of the provisos were implemented by the authorities, who had years to do this but as ever procrastinated and searched for justifications to avoid solutions.I recall the designers of the new stadium heavily plugging the use of Kew Bridge station as a key justification for planning permission. Which is not unreasonable. But when pointed out the Brentford station was just a five min walk from Griffin park and has lifts and disabled access but was only averagely used by attendees to games. There was as stony look and a swift change of subject. Now the ground is served by Two nations woefully inadequate and just like Ealing Broadway station, pushed to the bottom of the pile for proper integrated upgrading. Long before the current financial debacle of mismanagement and now misfortune.
