I was hoping to hear fireworks in Brentford this evening.Then when I read the news from Manchester. .I understood why all was quiet!

We did have a lean patch when Raya was injured and before Eriksen came. Since those two started playing the whole team has played wonderfully and with six games still to go we are almost sure to stay up despite our relatively tiny budget. Said Benrahma is now integral to West Ham's future.West Ham have done wonders with him and whilst he is not the prolific goal scorer he was at Brentford, his assists and all round game and particularly his weaknesses have been ironed out and are now his strengths thanks to whoever at WHU has been coaching him.Erikson has brought gravitas and experience to the side which has transferred to the whole team.I really hope he ( and the fact that Brentford is now hugely popular in Denmark ) can stay at least for one full season.

The club seems to have developed a system which makes it resilient to good players and managers leaving. Hard not to conclude that it is all based on excellent recruitment. The arrival of Christian Eriksen obviously has spurred the recent incredible run and I don't think he will be here next season but there is some talk that Said Benrahma might return which would be marvellous in my view.

Agreed these recent Bees' wins are a great tonic at this time.It would be sad if key players and the Manager were tempted to move to more prosperous Clubs..let's hope their love of the Community keeps them here.

Indeed! Great performance again and unforgettable moments being created when we all, young and old, belt out Hey Jude then bounce around to Freed from Desire with the players and the coaching staff after the game! A far cry from our League 2 days not so long ago. What a wonderful community experience Thomas Frank and the team are giving so many of us!
