There seems to have been a bit of cleaning house done recently. I was e-mailed by the moderators and very politely asked to provide further verification. They were happy to accept an e-mail from my work e-mail address.How cowardly and contemptible of 'Barney' and 'Alan' to come on here and give people a hard time. Particularly Barney whose sole intention seemed to be to slander a decent bloke. It'll be interesting to see who does and doesn't reappear on the forum in the future.

NeilPresumably this only checks the Edited Register rather than the Full Register?The Full Register is only available to certain people and we have to swear under pain of death that we will not use it for anything other than electoral purposes.If I hadn't made such a promise I'd have been able to confirm that there is neither a Barney Rogerson nor an Alan Barry anywhere near Brentford or Isleworth.

sarah & Simon,It's not a Harley - it's a Raleigh (they rhyme!) and it ain't in the trench (too damp) it's in my shed.....I realise Sarah is trying to improve my too rustic image, but I am quite happy just to use the trench for protection from warlike posters...the Raleigh wouldn't fit inside the dugout.And, Simon, it's a lie - I wouldn't make Sarah polish my Raleigh.....I wouldn't let her within a mile of it...she'd probably allow it to be crushed under the wheels of the juggernauts she keeps in her road.....I refuse to comment further about using the back as a mirror...she has gone too far!

Thanks Simon – I will e-mail you directly.  Ann was a bit worried about getting the Harley into the trench, she won't be separated from it y'know.  She is a real slave driver – had me up for hours polishing the front chrome work whilst she did her make up using the back as a mirror.

The whole messageboard seems upside down at the moment with so many posts I presume have been deleted.As somebody else mentioned I believe yesterday,the forum has never been so busy with postings so perhaps in a perverse way some good may come out of all this and the new posters will stay for a while and further rejuvenate this board?

Any chance these unpleasant slurs can be put to bed now. Simon has told you who Jason is and that's good enough for me. I don't know him but what he does in the community is testament enough to his integrity and trying to cast doubt on it just strikes me as spite and jealousy.

Same as what Barney said but stayed on..It really amazes me you both think you are allowed to come on here and criticize someone but when someone does it back then you cry about it..This is a discussion forum not A friend making site..even though a lot off us posters on here argue with each other we don't take it seriously and call each other Friends...If you did come on here to make friends why come on here having a go at Sarah why not just come on here under a new thread saying "Friends wanted" is the reason you have no friends is because you have don't to them what you have tried to do on here to others? Now who is the Bully??

I actually don't belong to any group, indeed I have just moved to Chiswick and don't even know my next door neighbour yet.  I though these forums would be a nice way to make some new friends - but I now see I was mistaken.  I won't be posting any more on this forum

Barney....You started the attacks on me first so please don't whinge when I do it back!As to being part of a gang I am 32 not 10 and in School I don't bully people Yes I speak my mind and I don't care what people think I just like to be honest.And yes if someone starts attacking me I will attack back!I am not a member of any political group neither I am Chair of a residents group and most politics i don't care or understand.If you had took the time to read about me on this site and in the "Times" you will know what I am about and thats helping others.But to Say I am a bully and picking on you I would say you stop attacking me and I will stop.Simon

No, I don't know Barney, or indeed any of you, personally, and judging by your behaviour I would not want to know you. You wrote in capitals, which I believe signified shouting - which also makes you very rude.  Do you always behave thus when someone has an opinion that differs from yours?  You and Sarah make a very rude couple.

AnnabelThank you for sticking up for me and you are correct. I had resolved to leave this community site but you have given me heart. I will not be bullied off by this little group of people who want to use it to make every topic into a political one.On another subject I am also not stupid, and I can see very clearly if somebody is posting information in praise of themselves under a false name. This to me is a very silly pastime and there is no need for it.

Sarah - this is extremely unkind.  What possible pleasure can you take in picking on a pensioner.  I see that you use lots of forums to post items at all times of the day and late at night, so you are obviously lonely and in need of voicing your opinions. For pensioners like Barney this could also be a means to communicate with others. So do please try to be a little kinder.

Thing is Barney - I don't think anything will change the po-litical way of viewing things.  It is almost as if the po-litical world considers that stirring things up and spoiling for a fight encourages a meaningful exchange.Most of the time the people who can contribute to the discussion in a meaningful way, just stare on in amazement.  Look at what is going on with David Blunkett at the moment - and po-lictial people are they are positively jeering at him.  Still, while he is hogging the headlines there is no room for digs at other people.  Makes me feel quite uncomfortable.Did you move up from the South Coast to this area when you retired?  Most people go the other way - away from the planes!
