There's a programme on Quest tv (Freeview chanel 12) tonight at 9 pm about the restoration of Boston Manor House. Should be intersting.

Thanks for the heads up as that's not a channel I check. Have recorded it and will watch with interest.

I didn't manage to see it all but what I did see was amazing. The time and expertise put into everything is brilliant. I just wonder how they are going to market it. It will be interesting to see what happens next.

Thanks for that information Susan. Some people I know missed it. The restorers have really done a fantastic job - such attention to detail.

It looks like a real transformation. I've only known the house these past 3 decades as scruffy and run down.Anyone know if it's reopen yet or when it will?
Susan Kelly ● 1568d
No, Susan, it's not open yet. There is still work being done on the grounds outside, which are also being much improved. Hope it will be open later in the summer. Will let you know if I hear anything re the re-opening.

Thanks, Joan. I used to enjoy walking down to the canal and then up it to Hanwell. So often see it on TV too, crimes being committed under the M4.
The programme is on Quest again tomorrow (Sunday) at 5 pm if anyone missed it.
