Thank you for responding ladies. As you say there are so many talented people hidden away at home involved in so many handwork skills...and who often are not able to display or sell their wears.Yet many craftspeople do succeed in reaching the public..mostly via facebook pages where they are able to upload pictures of their work with ease. Lorna Kyle from Ealing is one lady who comes to mind..she's well organised, appears at Fairs, on Facebook regularlyalso has a small permanent counter at a Craftshop opposite Haven Green.Of course getting a retailer to sell your wares..eats into your margins.. so a regular market presence in Brentford would be helpful.I presume you have to get permission to have a stall on Market Square? Years ago I recall sales parties in people's homes..jolly social events with sales in mind! You can really only invite trusted people.. but I remember Kaftan sales, wine tasting sales, I like Swipe! (the concentated liquid magic cleaner sold by pyramid marketing!), Avon Cosmetics. etc.I see that the Verdict Coffee Bar has reduced it's own trading space.. having invited the Nature Intended(?) shop to move in. An opportunity lost?Anyway good luck..others may have ideas to help you.I wonder if local handwork craft could be displayed at the Library, Watermans,Syon Park. My daughter makes lamps with tartan lampshades in various Harris Tweed colours for sale at her local Stornoway Castle..and is busy. Now what are Brentford's colours?
