Well, despite me just wanting to give a shout out in support of a very good local business, most of you guys won't even give it a chance.Up to you,but you are missing out.My verdict on the food at the Albany, the food is quite often not made to order and the chips are thin and a little greasy, the fish is ok but also a little on the greasy side, which you get when it has been hanging around in the warming cabinet. As for Mario's, the last time I went(it's too far and I don't eat my fish and chips in my car) the chips looked and tasted like them there frozen 'steak' style chips and were hard and a bit dry.But the trhing is,I have tried both before making up my mind. You can get a £1.75 portion of chips at Cod and Rock, which is perfect for me and you can get a balti pie, which is not common.Either way, enjoy your chips as I will continue to do.
