Vanishing threads

F.A.O. the Moderator,Can you please come on this site and explain why you are deleting whole threads because one or two posts upset you. Removing an entire thread deprives the people who treat this site with respect an honest and open debate. Your political alliances must not dictate what you will and will not allow.

Does it not occur to you that you are not clever and everybody else stupid?Do you not realise hoe obnoxious you are being?Do you go through life completely oblivious to the embarrassment which you clearly cause to those around you?Is every problem you encounter, probably on a daily basis with your attitude, always somebody else's fault?What a sad excuse for a human being you truly are.

I think you miss the point, I dont use this site for Politicle postings..I use it to post my Charity work and how my daughter is doing.from Time to time I do reply to topics on here and one of those is about the Keen's as like everyone else I would like to hear there answer...Is that clear enough!!

As far as I'm aware the answer to the big question is "Because we can".If you think this forum is moderated with a political bias why continue to use it? If you are being prevented from putting across your point of view then it makes no sense to participate.

I never said he got thrown off here for being political etc I don't know why he has been thrown off!!As to the Keens expenses Firstly I was just agreeing with What Andy said!!If you don't like hearing about it maybe you can tell the Keen's to answer the BIG question then we will STOP asking!!

You are surely joking when you say that people can't talk about the Keen's expenses here, some people talk about nothing but."And finally you are only allow to lie on here and praise up the above......."Simon, this sort of nonsense seems at odds with what you were saying earlier. The idea that George Burrell is some sort of political martyr expelled for telling us the truth about the Government is the only lie being peddled round here at the moment.

I agree with Andy..so why have they removed the thread about the Keen's expenses?Don't tell us it is for "Legal Reason's" it was all in the local papers so why cant we residents discuss about it on here?Maybe you should add in the terms and conditionsYou must not discuss the "Keen's"You must not discuss "Mr Bliar"And finally you are only allow to lie on here and praise up the above.......BIT UNFAIR isn't it??

What I suspect is happening is the following. Each post has a unique ID. Associated with that ID is a thread parent and a sub-thread parent. If either is deleted the post is orphaned and doesn't display. The posts that were orphaned are probably still there but they need to have a new sub-thread parent allocated to them. This may required direct editing of the database which could be tricky and time consuming and given the volume of output from George Burrell today the moderators have clearly been busy. For a definitive answer why not just e-mail the moderators? They may be able to reinstate any posts that you made.

I have every confidence that my solicitors could build a justification in law for describing Tony Blair as a dipstick.  Or is there a dipstick's society somewhere which is threatening to sue?

If George is the culprit of abusing this forum then fair enough, his posts should be deleted. My point is that just because there is one rogue, why delete the whole thread. In particular, the thread relating to Ann and Alan Keen's expenses, has been removed. If George posted a comment that was out of order then that post only should be removed. Removing an entire thread is depriving us of a valid debate.

Nah give them credit its a hard job I moderate my own website for the Resident group I chair its hard deciding what to allow and disallow.I just wanted to know about George as he posts on my Forum being a resident and member of our group and he is good as gold on ours and thats why I wanted to know what he has done.He has never abused anyone on my forum he does get involved in chats and when someone disagree with him he is cool about it all.But Thanks anyway..Simon

"As has been pointed out in the other thread, to present George Burrell as some sort of political martyr isn't really credible. He has been bunged off quite rightly because he was incapable of debating in a civilised fashion. Obviously if he reappears and you reply to him your post is likely to go to.
