We see the RIVER Brent.... where does it flow from?

Up north somewhere?What streams flow into it?The Grand Union Canal is a separate thing..navigating it's way north towards Birmingham. In the case of the GUC's Paddington Arm..it goes around London to East London (Limehouse).So....where precisely does the Brent begin...long before it's arrival at Brentford Dock?

Hence the Brent Valley / Brent River Park in Hanwell and the Borough of Brent.There are several tributaries off the Brent, one of which courses its way through Lammas Park, Northfields/Little Ealing and Runs under Brook Road/ Brook Lane and part of St Paul's rec into the Thames.Only visible part is in the Convent Grounds beside Mount Carmel School. The rest was ducted with the advent of the railways.

The river Brent flows from the Brent Reservoir in Hendon. You see the reservoir when driving alongside the North Circular. The dam to the reservoir broke towards the end of the nineteenth century flooding Brentford. My A to Z shows a small stream running into the reservoir at the north end  called the Silk Stream.

Does it begin in Barnet in the form of a little stream? I seem to remember someone telling me that. However I have not seen a photo like there is of the Thames source.

I think the Brent is a tributary of the Thames not a separate river.
