Just for clarity, there is a reason there is exceptional traffic on CHR, and that is a result of TfL having to close parts of and sometimes all of A4 in both directions between Hogarth and Chiswick roundabouts. Hounslow takes on this and links to more detail from TfL are here: https://www.hounslow.gov.uk/info/20053/transportThere is also I believe a much smaller parcel of changes in Cyclelane 9 between Chiswick Lane and Turnham Green. Those who have been paying notice, C9 in Chiswick was implemented in a different manner than earlier agreed locally, to follow instructions from Department of Transport which instructed that road width be reduced rather than footway width. As for removing councillors, Paul (and everybody Hounslow resident) had an option to do this in May, as they normally do every 4 years. The most noticeable change last May was the first Labour councillor being elected in Chiswick - the first for decades, and in the ward most affected by restrictions, Riverside ward. If it is my blog that has been posted here every week since 2015 except occasionally I have taken annual holidays. Recently I have not posted for several weeks when I have been seriously ill in various hospitals, and for a couple of weeks when I have began to recover. I expect to start again in a week or two. Other Brentford councillors have covered several weeks when I was unable to post.
