Eddie Menday MBE... prolific local historian... has died.

We learn from a Heston fb page that the 100 year old Eddie... who wrote articles in the Middlesex Chronicle over many years...and in other media too.. has died.Many will recognise his name and be aware of his many local Governorships. Mainly associated with Feltham and Hounslow... who will be extra saddened at his passing..

I had the great privilege of knowing Eddie, and enjoyed his many, many contributions during his long service at the 'Middlesex Chronicle', and his interests in local issues and local history, a gentleman of the old school. My thoughts are with his family - what a life though - long and well lived.
