Fiji... help please

I have just bought my round the world tickets and Fiji is one of my first stops. I will be there for only 10 days but want to make the most of my time there - possibly learning to scuba dive.Anyone been there before? Got any tips about anything at all for me? I have quite a tight budget but still want to have lots of fun so all suggestions welcome...(you'll probably get more posts about the other places I am going to as well!)
