Pasta Evangelist's Dark Kitchen, open till 2am and all that.

They're requesting planning permission,& they promise not to have noisy scooters parked outside on double yellow lines and zig zags on Ealing Road ...opposite McDonaldsWell on Saturday their boss parked his Landrover halfway across the pavement .. on the yellow lines and zig zags.causing a headache for Bees fans walking home from the game. Dodgy dodgy dodgy.I have a photo I'll send to Guy Lambert.

E Bikes and Scooters doing night collection and on pavements with no lights and hooded. Not just here but at McDonalds and other food outlets.If anyone chooses to do this work using a car then have to have a full drivers licence and Hire and Reward insurance. You cannot get this cover if on L plates as all motor vehicles  have to have a full licence holder present if on L plates.And the courts are often full of Motorists prosecuted for insurance non compliance.However does this apply to those using other vehicles? How do you record identity and insurance of e-scooters, cyclists or unlit motor scooters being used commercially?

Completely agree that this DK should be relocated.  Almost every time I am on Ealing Road there is either a bike, a car or a van parked either on the double-yellow lines or half on the pavement/road, and often on the zig-zag lines.  Looks like a missed big revenue-raiser for parking fines.

The problematic Dark Kitchen continues to trade...notwithstanding the headache caused by delivery scooters doing U turns and the like... whilst the 65 bus, MacDonalds visitors and others negotiate the evening BLACK SPOT.The premises just display the address number "27". No telephone number shown as per a condition of trading. Guy over to you!

It's not a good location Brook road and the streets around it are now constantly dangerous at all hours from Get It riders on all manner of scooters riding at speed.Many are on electric scooters which are completely silent and very fast.Many also ride with no lights until they get to the main road.These places need to be well away from residential areas.And this wild west of Scooters and total lack of road etiquette needs to be dealt with.I find it odd that someone doing a delivery by car can be prosecuted for not having a hire and reward insurance and must have a full licence, but no enforcement for riders on provisional licences and no hire and reward insurance and as I found out after many enquiries, their employers do not enforce lighting, safety or cover them for working insurance. Only their equipment.

There's an ideal industrial estate for the DARK KITCHEN at the top of Brook Road by the railway. I believe one unit is already being used for the fast food/ delivery trade.There are problems already at the bottom of Ealing Road ... with McDonalds and that Dark Kitchen.Tonight at 8pm...a car parks outside on double yellows...dashes into the DK...comes out with someones take-away...does a three point turn (!) at that lively spot and zooms off.All drivers visiting that place will be a nuisance..be sure!

What is never addressed is the suitability and costs of what is left of Brentfords Small industrial units and the classifications of them.So many businesses have simply gone as even Hayes is miles cheaper and with a wider range of classifications.But that's the big Elephant in the room. How does overdensification and hen house developments balance with proper local jobs and industry?It's not just a Dark Kitchen on what is supposed to be a local shopping parade for local customers, McDonalds just across the road is a thoroughly unpleasant place most of the day. It should not be allowed to be called a 'Restaurant'.It is full of delivery riders in weather gear, food boxes and the smell of sweat.Outside  are the shadowy lurkers who pedal 'extras' to some of those who clever those 'extras'.McDonalds are supposed to be looking at non- restaurant factories for local deliveries but there are no adequate sites or affordable sites - better to maximise the restaurants even if it puts of diners.But really this relates to the complete lack of suitable infrastructure yet again.If McDonalds can't afford it. Sole trading independent catering certainly cannot.

Well, there's most of the A4 plus various small trading estates in Brentford. I attended the case against it (thanks Jim) but a compromise was approved. I await to the official decision. How they have their hygiene score is beyond me. The state of staff coming out for a break is unbelievable stains all over their clothes.
