Another Grenfell Miraculously Avoided in Isleworth
Ermergency Services rapid response to a fire at a Council flat in a heritage property owned by Hounslow Council prevented Lives being lost in an inferno. The fire had broken out inside the Council flat Monday morning. Home to a mute vulnerable man with Special needs, left without his usual wrap round local authority provided Carers over the Bank Holiday Weekend. Residents of the Victorian era property & neighbours in Worple road were shocked to discover he’d been neglected. A Leaseholder living above the fire with his wife and baby, were alerted by smoke and quickly ran down to the front of the property kicked the door in. He managed to assist the confused gentleman to safety before the Fire service and Ambulance arrived. The Victorian era property built in 1873; a former Police Station, has become a grave concern for its Residents owing to the lack of essential property maintenance by the owner Hounslow Council. The family living above the fire would had normally been away during the Bank Holiday. Two Police Officers were trapped inside the flat for several hours having prized open the original rotten sash window to let out the smoke fumes were then unable to close it again and secure the flat,
