Loud drilling noise

Hi everyone, we’ve been hearing this loud drilling noise that might be coming from a sort of drilling tower in the Bus garage area for some days now. It almost sounds like a siren and it goes on for the whole day. Does anyone know if this is part of the Brentford Project construction plan or whether it is something else? Working from home with the windows open is becoming a bit annoying with this constant background noise :D Just wondering what it is and how long should I expect it to go on still. Cheers!

Don’t forget the claims that spraying a bit of water on the demolition site mitigates the dust levels. Unlikely really.Of course Hounslow Labour Council has omitted all construction work from its zero emissions target, much to the annoyance of the local Greens. They would be trying to mislead us into thinking that smashing up swathes of Brentford and then pouring concrete everywhere is carbon neutral would they?

They are smashing up concrete at the site opposite Morrisons.The dust is incredible its all over the place. An hour in Morrisons and I could write my name on the freshly cleaned car. You can actually taste it on your mouth in the couple of mins it takes to load the car.I wonder if Health and safety / Pollution control take this as seriously as they do with road pollution. Especially as it's now been admitted by the mayor that Constriction works and vehicles account for a high proportion of more dangerous pollutants. There is no sign at all of any pollution monitoring apparatus near any of the major sites in Brentford .One would think thats the most important locations with a school and a star which has over 20,000 customers theres being exposed to such stuff every week.The debacle of Alfa Laval and asbestos concrete was ignored and brushed aside with no adequate responses from LBH or the Health and Safety executive.Neither doing their jobs properly.

The noise is apparently excavation work going on "at the new bus depot". It was unclear from a comment on the BLW Residents Facebook page whether that means the old bus depot, currently empty of buses and being rebuilt, or where the buses are now parked at the end of Commerce Road on the right, where the third phase of Brentford Lock West will be built once the buses have returned to the refurbished depot.

What a nuisance. And who wants to hear drilling all dayI understand that there is a Residents Association for your area... Brentford Lock West ...look them up on Google ...and hopefully they will provide you with an answer... if they can hear you!
